The Port of New York and New Jersey Ends 2019 with Increases in Cargo and Rail Volume
The year 2019 will be remembered as one of growth at the Port of New York and New Jersey. Following a successful 2018, where the port crossed the 7 million TEUs (20-foot equivalent units) mark for the first time, 2019 broke that record to end the year with a total of 7,471,131 TEUs (4,238,107 lifts), a 4.1 percent increase.
