Container lifts for September 2015 topped lifts from the same month, 2014 by 13.4 percent according to stats just released by the Port of New York and New Jersey. At 325,534 lifts, 2015 now holds the port’s new record for volume by month in September. Year-to-date, the port stands ahead of 2014 volumes by 12.2 percent. With 163,597 lifts, September import loads outperformed the same month, 2014 by 12.4 percent. Year-to-date, import loads are running 11.2 percent in front of 2014.
