On Wednesday, May 23, the Carnival Horizon arrived in the Port of New York and New Jersey at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal, Pier 88, to host its official naming ceremony. The Port of New York New Jersey hit another monthly record in April 2018. Total volume for the month of April was 551,117 TEUs. Although import loads were down by 2.1% in April 2018 vs. April 2017, most likely due to a late Chinese New Year, export loads increased 12.9% in April 2018 vs. April 2017. This is the third month in a row that export loads have increased by double digits when compared against 2017.
