The M/V One Stork Docks at Global Container Terminal

On Friday, July 20, 2018, the M/V One Stork, a 14,026 TEU Ultra Large Container Ship (ULCS), docked at Global Container Terminal in Bayonne, New Jersey on its maiden voyage. Built at the Kure shipyard in Japan and launched June 12, the Japanese flagged vessel called ports in China and Southeast Asia, and then sailed to the Port of New York and New Jersey via the Suez Canal. Thursday, April 20, 2017 Begins New Appointment Procedure at GCT Bayonne

Starting Thursday April 20th, GCT Bayonne will require appointments for all transactions between 6:00 and 10:00 AM. Incoming trucks should take note that no queuing will be allowed before 9:45AM.   HISTORY GCT Bayonne rolled its Truck Management System (“appointment system”) on Sunday, January 15, 2017 following an extensive period of development, testing, and outreach with the drayage community. GCT Bayonne Rolls Out Appointment System at Port of NY & NJ

Following extensive development, testing, and outreach with the drayage community, GCT Bayonne will roll out a Truck Management System (“appointment system”) on a limited basis on Sunday, January 15, 2017.  This is a major milestone for the Port of New York and New Jersey. All transactions at GCT Bayonne between the hours of 0600 and 0800 starting on Sunday, January 15th and every day thereafter will be mandated to have a reservation. Update on Procedures for Handling Hanjin Cargo and Equipment

The following  update concerns the latest procedures for handling Hanjin cargo and equipment at the Port of New York and New Jersey.  M/V Hanjin Switzerland The Hanjin Switzerland is expected to dock at GCT Bayonne on Wednesday afternoon October 13, 2016 for discharge. GCT Bayonne Welcomes Maiden Voyage of Hyundai Saturn

On Friday, July 29, Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) sent its first ship in rotation, the Hyundai Saturn, to the Port of New York and New Jersey as part of its five ship commitment to the new “NYX” service calling at GCT Bayonne. An Ultra Large Container Ship (ULCS), the Saturn was on its maiden voyage from the Daewoo Shipyard of Korea after delivery to it owners, Zodiac Maritime of London, England.
