On September 7, 2018 the Port of New York and New Jersey celebrates the one-year anniversary of the arrival of the CMA CGM T. Roosevelt. Total volume for July 2018 was 622,559 TEUs (354,101 lifts) versus 576,947 TEUs (330,716 lifts) in July 2017, a 7.9% increase. Import loads (TEUs) were up by 10.4% in July 2018 vs. July 2017 and export loads (TEUs) increased 3.3% in July 2018 vs. July 2017. The Port of New York and New Jersey welcomed one of the world’s most advanced, High-Efficient Ro-Ro (HERO) ships, the M/V Titus, on Tuesday, July 31, when it completed its maiden voyage from Asia to Port Newark’s Berth 13. The new M/V Titus can handle a wider range of cargo types with increased capacity and optimized fuel efficiency, reducing its energy consumption and emissions.
