The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has just advised The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey of a planned closure of westbound I-80, between exits 299 and 298 (about 12 miles west of the Delaware Water Gap Bridge). The closure will be in effect today, Wednesday, December 14, from 10 am to 2 pm. The New Jersey-bound lanes of the Goethals Bridge will close from 10 p.m. Thursday, December 8 until 5 a.m. Friday, December 9 for emergency repairs to two drainage catch basins on the Staten Island side of the bridge. Travel delays are expected throughout the three-day weekend, especially during peak travel times.
