The Port of New York and New Jersey continues to maintain a strong supply chain as the end of Q1 marks increasing numbers for our rail practice. Rail volume increased 1.5 percent from the previous year’s March figure, totaling 59,771 containers for March 2020. Total volume for March 2020 was 560,830 TEUs (318,521 lifts) versus 585,098 TEUs (333,688 lifts) in March 2019, a 4.1 percent decrease.
