Thursday, April 20, 2017 Begins New Appointment Procedure at GCT Bayonne

Starting Thursday April 20th, GCT Bayonne will require appointments for all transactions between 6:00 and 10:00 AM. Incoming trucks should take note that no queuing will be allowed before 9:45AM.   HISTORY GCT Bayonne rolled its Truck Management System (“appointment system”) on Sunday, January 15, 2017 following an extensive period of development, testing, and outreach with the drayage community. New York-Bound Goethals Bridge Lanes to Close Monday (4/17/17) Overnight for Emergency Repairs

The eastbound lanes of the Goethals Bridge will be closed Monday, April 17, starting at 10 p.m. for emergency road repairs. The bridge will reopen Tuesday, April 18, at 5 a.m. The westbound lanes will remain open throughout this period. The closure is required to address pavement deterioration at several locations on the eastbound lanes of the bridge. The Bayonne Bridge and Outerbridge Crossing will remain open and serve as alternate routes during the closure of the eastbound Goethals Bridge lanes. New Global Ocean Carrier Alliance & Service Structure to Begin April 1, 2017

Please note the following important message to the entire Port of New York and New Jersey community:  The new global ocean carrier alliance and service structure takes effect April 1, 2017. This new structure may update the name of the service strings you do business with, and therefore could change how you track your cargo. Port NY & NJ to Reopen Wednesday, March 15, 2017

All terminals at the Port of New York and New Jersey will reopen for business, Wednesday March 15, 2017. Please observe the following specifics: GCT Bayonne will open at 6 AM and require no appointments. AMPT will open at 7 AM. Maher, PNCT, RHCT, & GCTNY will open at 8 AM, as will the Polaris St. Depot.  An important notice for all truckers. Please note: There will be no queuing overnight to facilitate snow removal. Winter Storm Stella to Close Port NY & NJ for Tues, March 14, 2017

To all port patrons: Due to blizzard conditions forecast to affect our region, all terminals at the Port of New York and New Jersey will be closed on March 14, 2017. The port’s Winter Weather Plan will be in effect.
