Launched in January 2016, the Clean Vessel Incentive Program (CVI) continues to attract much cleaner vessels to the Port of New York and New Jersey’s constituent marine terminals. For the second quarter 2016, CVI produced 295 qualifying vessel calls, an increase of 87 percent over the second quarter 2015, and an increase of 16% over the first quarter 2016. Incentives earned for the second quarter 2016 totaled $413,000, an increase of 45 percent over the second quarter 2015.
