On September 7, 2018 the Port of New York and New Jersey celebrates the one-year anniversary of the arrival of the CMA CGM T. Roosevelt. This was the first of many large vessels to call on port terminals in Newark, Elizabeth and Staten Island after going under the newly raised Bayonne Bridge now with a navigational clearance of 215 feet. The Port of New York and New Jersey welcomed one of the world’s most advanced, High-Efficient Ro-Ro (HERO) ships, the M/V Titus, on Tuesday, July 31, when it completed its maiden voyage from Asia to Port Newark’s Berth 13. The new M/V Titus can handle a wider range of cargo types with increased capacity and optimized fuel efficiency, reducing its energy consumption and emissions.
