This represents an increase of 2.0 percent over August 2015, the highest August on record, and the second highest month the port has ever logged. Container lifts for February 2016 were 12.4 percent better than those logged in February 2015 according to statistics recently released by the Port of New York and New Jersey. The 287,197 lifts executed in February 2016 also represent a new monthly record for the port. Loaded import containers totaled 148,048 units for a 7.4 percent increase over totals for February 2015.
