Notice Regarding Dwell Time on Rail Containers

Severe winter weather throughout the East Coast and Midwest regions, a lack of available rail equipment, and train length restrictions have had adverse effects on East Coast intermodal rail cargo over the past couple of weeks.  At the Port of New York and New Jersey, this has caused higher than normal dwell time on rail containers.  Port staff are working diligently with both CSX and Norfolk Southern to ensure that adequate quantities of empty rail equipment are routed to ExpressRail terminals in a timely fashion to clear the rail backlog as quickly as possible. *     *     * For more information on the Port of NewRead More →
