The Port of New York and New Jersey’s Council on Port Performance is hosting a Career Awareness and Job Expo. The first of its kind, this event will take place on April 18, 2018 from 10 AM to 3 PM at 1400 Corbin Street, Elizabeth, New Jersey.
This is an opportunity to inform members of the public about the Port of NY & NJ and draw attention to the vital role it plays throughout the supply chain locally, regionally, and nationally. An event of this kind underscores the significant social and economic impact of the NY/NJ port and the workforce that helps keep it all moving.
Organizations have the option of either sending a recruiter with information about vacancies and high turnover positions and/or provide an interactive career awareness exhibit (speaker, table top display etc.) for this event. Spots for booths and exhibits are limited and the deadline to register is March 23, 2018.
If your organization is interested in a booth and/or interactive exhibit, please register at: panynj.gov/jointldjobexpo. Details regarding event set up and directions to this venue are available on the registration page. General information can be viewed here.
The Council on Port Performance believes that this is a unique event for your company to:
- Identify local talent for your job vacancies.
- Create a pipeline for high turnover positions.
- Introduce local residents to transportation, logistics, and distribution careers.
- Help the workforce explore future career opportunities.
- Announce scholarship, fellowship, internship, apprenticeship, and other training opportunities, and provide valuable exposure for your company.
Again, if your organization is interested in a booth and/or interactive exhibit, please register at: panynj.gov/jointldjobexpo.
